Steve Allen Career and Achivements
Allen joined LBC as the presenter of the Night Extra show. He then went on to host The Night is Young on the radio station. Allen hosted the afternoon show for ‘London Talkback Radio’ and Saturday Night Out when LBC was split into two stations, 1152 AM and 97.3 FM. Allen has also worked for Blue Danube Radio in Vienna, a United Nations-sponsored station.
Allen currently presents the early breakfast show on LBC from 4 a.m. until 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. In addition to these shows, Allen pre-records another show for LBC called Steve Allen In Conversation, which has not aired since the spring of 2020.
In 2006 and 2007, he went on a live tour around London, visiting theaters. Allen continued his sell-out ‘audience with’ stage events in 2009 and 2010 at the Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch and the Mermaid Theatre in Central London.
Anthony Davis, another LBC presenter, backed him up. In February 2011, he returned to the Mermaid Theatre, accompanied by mind reader Graham P Jolley.Allen published a book titled So You Want to Be a Celebrity? in 2015.
