Eddie Jones Career and Achievements
Jones started his football career at Matraville Sports High School. Jones was a hooker for Sydney club Randwick and New South Wales before taking over as coach of Randwick in 1994. Between 1995 and 1997, he worked for Tokai University, as an assistant to the Japan national team, and at Suntory Sungoliath.
He returned to Australia in 1998, taking over as coach of the ACT Brumbies in Super Rugby. He also coached the Queensland Reds in the 2007 Super Rugby season. In 2008, he played for Saracens in the English Premiership before returning to Japan and Suntory Sungoliath for a second spell that concluded in the 2011-12 Top League championship.
From 2015 to 2022, he was the England national team’s head coach. His first coaching term with the Wallabies was from 2001 to 2005 when he coached them to Bledisloe Cup wins and a Rugby World Cup final.
He previously coached Australia from 2001 to 2005, leading the side to the Rugby World Cup final in 2003.
