Sullivan was a member of Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre and played at the Liverpool Playhouse in the Willy Russell play Breezeblock Park and the Phil Redmond play Soaplights.He started Brookside in February 1986 and stayed with the show until it concluded in November 2003, appearing in several of its most popular storylines.
He received the British Soap Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2003 for his performance as Jimmy.Sullivan has organized “murder weekends” through his company, The Murder Game. He made an appearance on Lily Savage’s Blankety Blank in 2001.In 2008, he starred in the sitcom Terry Across the Mersey, and from May 2009 to May 2010, he hosted a daily show on City Talk 105.9 from the Radio City Tower.
