Adam Johnson Career and Achivements
He played junior hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Indiana Ice and Sioux City Musketeers after graduating from high school, and he was selected a USHL All-Star in 2015.Johnson attended the Pittsburgh Penguins prospect development camp before choosing to skip his university career and sign a two-year, entry-level contract with the Penguins on July 6, 2017.
Johnson was the second-leading scorer for the American Hockey League affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the 2017-18 season before making his NHL debut on March 21, 2019 against the Nashville Predators in a 2-1 win.On October 12, 2019, he played 13 NHL games and scored one goal in a 7-4 win over the Minnesota Wild in his home state.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic postponing the North American season, Johnson chose to sign a deal with the Malmö Redhawks of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) on December 15, 2020.Johnson, who played in a top-six forward role for the Redhawks, contributed seven goals and 12 points in 21 regular-season games before selecting to break his contract and return to North America on March 27, 2020.
