Horner began his racing career in karts before moving to auto racing in 1991, when he won a Formula Renault scholarship.He raced in the 1992 British Formula Renault Championship for Manor Motorsport, finishing the season as a race winner and the highest-ranked rookie.
He then progressed to British Formula Three in 1993, placing second in the Class B Championship for P1 Motorsport and winning five races before joining the Fortec and ADR teams in 1994 and 1995, and then the TOM’S team in 1996. In 1996, he also competed in the British Formula Two.
Horner went to Formula 3000 in 1997, creating the Arden team.According to Horner, he established the team with borrowed funds, including a loan from his father, and persuaded P1 Motorsport founder Roly Vincini to serve as his race engineer.
He purchased a used trailer for the team from Helmut Marko, who, as head of the Red Bull Junior Team, was one of Horner’s key competitors as a management in F3000 and would subsequently collaborate closely at Red Bull.He remained in F3000 in 1998, and was joined at Arden by Kurt Mollekens, who showed good speed and led the title at one point.As a result, he chose to stop driving at the end of the seassion.
Red Bull Racing finished second in the Formula One Constructors’ Championship in 2021, driven by Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen. Verstappen won his first Formula One Drivers’ Championship at the season’s final race.
Red Bull Racing won the F1 Constructors’ Championship in 2022, led by drivers Pérez and Verstappen. Verstappen also won the Formula One Drivers’ Championship, with Pérez finishing third.
In 2023, Red Bull Racing kept the same driver lineup and won the Formula One Constructors’ Championship for the sixth time. Max Verstappen won his third F1 Diver’s Championship, with Sergio Pérez finishing second. This was the first time Red Bull Racing had both drivers finish first and second in the Drivers Championship.
