Rami founded Ruomky Business Enterprises in 2007 in after the success of RASHAYS. The company provides a variety of services to the hospitality industry, including facility maintenance and new business development. Ruomky Business Enterprises established a food manufacturing facility, Ruomky, in 2010 as a result of further expansion in order to provide consistent, high-quality ingredients as well as create affordable ready-to-eat meals.

Rami began his career in the hospitality industry as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut before rising to the position of shop manager. Rami claims that it was at this point that his desire to open his own pizza restaurant arose. Rami envisioned developing an off-the-cuff dining experience that mimicked the ambiance of the show’s iconic cafe “Central Perk” after being inspired by the popular television show Friends.

Coming up with the moniker RASHAYS was a collaborative effort between him and his wife Shannon – a play on both of their names that combines the letters from their first names as well as the first initial of their surnames.

The first RASHAYS restaurant opened in Liverpool in 1998, in a 22-square-meter commercial facility that cost $28,000 per year. The successful venture attracted the attention of Dominos, who head-hunted him to operate three franchises – a challenge he embarked on while still running RASHAYS.
